tion teacher, and is an assistant

College. Hoffman also umpires
softball within the PIAA andASA
softball leagues.
Michael Somers ’05
has been
named the School Psychologist
of the Year by theAssociation
of Schools andAgencies for the
Handicapped (ASAH). Presented
before a crowd ofmore than
1,200 educators at the annual
ASAH conference inAtlantic
City, N.J., the award recognizes
professionalsworking in the field
of special education for excellence
and exemplary dedication and
commitment. Somers, a nationally
certified school psychologist
and certified senior level crisis
prevention institute instructor,
is currently pursuing a post
master’s certification in school
neuropsychology.
Brian Singer ’07
works as a
wildlife conservation officer in
easternWestmorelandCounty
for the PennsylvaniaGame
Commission. Hewas recently
chosen as Pennsylvania’swildlife
law enforcement officer of
the year by theNationalWild
Turkey Federation.
JonathanMuldowney ’08
has
been promoted to director of
group sales for Reading’s Fightin’
Phils, a Double-A affiliate of the
Philadelphia Phillies. Prior to
heading the team’s group opera-
tions, he spent the 2013 season as
assistant director of group outings
and 2010-12 as a client relationship
manager. He originally came on
boardwith the team in 2008 as a
full-time intern. He currently resides
inReading, Pa. with hiswife
Michelle anddaughter Madison.

had an article
appear in theOct. 2013 issue
of
American TheatreMagazine

MeganHumphrey ’12
teaches
kindergarten through thirdgrade,
aswell as special education, in
TwinHills, Alaska, which is home
to only 70people. Toget to the
small village in southwestern
Alaska, Humphrey and her golden
retriever, Piper, had to take four
different planes, the last of which
was an air taxi.
LauraDubbs ’13
has been named
a designer at Bethlehem-based
advertising andpublic relations
agency Spark. Shewill create
designs, illustrations andgraphics
for a range of clients. Before being
hired as a designer, Dubbs had a
major rolewith Spark in designing
a newmagazine for Nazareth guitar
maker C.F. Martin&Co. Before join-
ing Spark, Dubbswas a graphic
design intern at 20nine, an inde-
pendent branding agency. She
has alsoworked as a freelance
designer at Echo LiveAgency LLC
and theBlack RoomMusicGroup.
CaseyGlidden ’13
won a 2013Gold
AmericanGraphicDesignAward for
her work, “SwaltzDelectableDuos,”
created in a senior workshop on
restaurant graphics at KU. Swaltz
is a concept design for a swanky
restaurant that pairs savory, sweet
and spicy dishes.
