JEFFUNGER
, the university’s long-
time photographer andowner of
Unger’s Studio, died inOctober at age
61. Unger photographed thousands of
KU faculty, staff, students and alumni
and hundreds of KU events—many
of whichwere featured in
Tower
magazine. Through his efforts, Unger
has preserved the history andmany
memories of the university that theKU
community enjoyedduring the past
quarter century.
He is andwill be
missedgreatly.

Pennsylvania, and in 2005 received
the Entrepreneurial Achievement
Award fromKutztown University’s
Small Business Development
Center. She formedGockley
Associates in 2004, and is also
the president and CEO of Vigilant
Internet Services Corp., a full-
serviceweb design, hosting and
management company based in
Reading, Pa. In 2010 shewrote
“The Reputation Factor,” which
focuses on personal reputation,
and how it can affect overall
success.
James Del Conte ’98
is co-director
anddirector of photography for
a new film, entitled “Standardized:
Lies, Money &Civil Rights,” about
standardized testing in public
schools and the effects it has on
students, parents and teachers.
Del Conte has produced and
directed electronicmedia around
theworld and is an instructor
for theCommunicationsMedia
Program at theBerks Career and
TechnologyCenter in Leesport,
Pa. He is currently pursuing a
master’s degree in instructional
technology fromWilkes University.
Melissa Fedorczyk ’99
has been
appointed a retail manager with
MorphyAuctions. In her new
position, shewill lead a team
that supports all office and
retail operations. Prior to her
appointment, shewas a global
merchandise planner for the
HersheyCompany’s “TheGlobal
Hershey Experience.”
Paul Guido ’99
is the new head
basketball coach for Holy
Redeemer High School in
Luzerne County.
