The 1940s
Dr. Carl FreyConstein ’42
recently
wroteabook, “InFear ofAlzheimer’s:
ACaregiver’s Journal,” about taking
careof hiswifeduring theprogression
ofAlzheimer’sdisease. Hiswife, Amy
Gring,wasdiagnosedwithAlzheimer’s
in 1980 andpassed away in 1991.
The 1960s
BarbaraAnn (Foley) Beswick ’62
had her second children’s book pub-
lishedbyMirror PublishingCo. She
wrote and illustrated “DippyDuck’s
Adventures,” a true tale pulled from
her days of farm ownership inN.J.
Beswick resides in Sebring, Fla. with
her husband, Jim, and isworking
toget her novel, “The Sensuous
Disciple,” published.
The 1980s
ArendaWright Allen ’82
overturned
Virginia’s ban on same-sexmarriage
in a landmark gaymarriage case,
decided in Feb. 2014.Wright Allen
took the bench inOct. 2011 following
a unanimous Senate confirmation,
becoming the first blackwoman to
serve on the federal bench inVirginia.
She ismarried toDelroyAllen, a
former pro soccer goaliewith the
NorthAmerican Soccer League. They
have two sons, Yanni andNyle.
HarryBarone ’83
is happy tobework-
ing again after 12 years as a stay-at-
home dad. He is now a product
specialist for TeslaMotors inAtlanta.
Eric Schaeffer ’84
is director and
founder of the TonyAward-winning
Signature Theatre inArlington, Va.
He has directed several Tony-winning
Broadway shows, including 2011’s
star-studded revival of the Stephen
Sondheim classicmusical “Follies”
and “MillionDollar Quartet.” Schaeffer
is in previews of aworldpremiere
musical, “Crossing,” at Signature.
JaneWolfgang ’84
, a longtime
Governor Mifflin elementary art teach-
er, recentlywrote and illustrated her
first book, “Art Today!”
RichardKline ’85
, Professional Golfers’
Association (PGA) headprofessional
at Sittler Golf Center inKutztown,
received the 2013 PGAMerchandiser
of the Year Award for Public Facilities
at theHammock BeachResort in
PalmCoast, Fla. Kline acquired the
Kutztown driving range andmini-golf
facility in 1995. According to the PGA,
his facility nowdoesmore than $1.15
million inmerchandise sales. Sittler
Golf has been named among the top
50 driving ranges in the U.S., and
Kline, who currently resides in
Lenhartsville, Pa., is among the
nation’s top 100 clubfitters, according
to
Golf Digest
.

acres in Berks County. He also
helped create a system to evaluate
land for preservation. Ziegenfus, a
professor of geography at Kutztown
University, will use his new free time
to focus on other interests.
The 1970s
KrisMiller-Siple ’74
had her oil
painting, “Gilbert’s,” accepted into
the LehighArt Alliance’s 78th annual
Fall JuriedExhibition at the Siegel
Gallery on Lehigh University’s
campus in Bethlehem, Pa. Miller-
Siple is a studio artist at theWalk
InArt Center in Schuylkill Haven,
Pa., and has taught art at all levels
in public and private schools
throughout Schuylkill County. Her
work has been shown at several
exhibitions, including theBerks
Art Alliance’s 35thAnnual Open
Juried Art Exhibit, the Art
Association of Harrisburg Juried
Members Show and the Allied
Artists Annual Juried Show.
TonyDidyoung ’76
was inducted into
the Fleetwood Sports Hall of Fame
inDec. 2013. Didyoungwas the boys
soccer coach for 10 years, and his
teamwon the PIAA StateChampion-
ship in 2000. He also coached the
girls’ tennis team.
Suzanne Lucine ’77
is the recipient
of the AmericanMorgan Horse
Association’s Mabel OwnMedia
Award. The award recognizes a
person or group in themediawho
has contributed above andbeyond
in providing content that contributes
to the public’s ability to learn about,
enjoy and record for posterity activi-
ties involving the Morgan horse.
Lucine, who is a freelancewriter
andphotographer, was co-producer
of theMorganHorseVideoReview
and former editor of the
TheMorgan
Horse
magazine and the
Horsemen’s
Yankee Pedlar
