Setting the Stage, theCampaign for
KutztownUniversity, has exceeded
its goal and raisedmore than $15.4
million to support student scholar-
ships, current use and endowed
funds for academic programs and
renovations to Schaeffer Auditorium
and the SharadinArts Building.
We are extremely grateful toour
campaign co-chairs, WILLIAM F.
RIBBLE, JR. ’73 and Peter Knight,
as well as all the volunteerswhose
efforts helped to ensure the cam-
paign’s success.
During this five-year comprehen-
sive campaign, more than 13,000
individuals andorganizationsmade
contributions, resulting in almost
42,000gifts. Although the campaign
will formally come to a close on
June 30, there are still many opportu-
nities tomake an impact.
You can create a legacy for future
generations by establishing an
endowedor restricted scholarship,
making a plannedgift, or giving to
the Endowment for KU. There are
also awide variety of namingoppor-
tunities on campus. In Schaeffer, you
can sponsor a seat in the auditorium
for a $1,000 gift, or you can name a
practice room, music classroom, the
lobby, stage ormain theater, for gifts
ranging from $25,000 - $2,000,000.
Youmight even consider purchasing
a brick in theAlumni Plaza for a gift
of $300 - $1,000.

he spring semester was full of
KU alumni outreach, network-
ing and fundraising events.
One of the most emotional and
inspiring of these was our annual
Gathering of Gratitude on
March 30.More than 120
donors had a chance to
meet and get to know
90 grateful scholarship
recipients.Attendees also
contributed to a special
fund to award additional scholar-
ships to the students in attendance.
Our generous donors and friends
rose to the occasion, enabling us to
give a total of $10,000 to 12 fortu-
nate students.
Another highlight of the event
was the announcement by President
JavierCevallos that Foundation
boardmemberWILLIAMF.
RIBBLE, JR. ’73wouldbepresented
with the KutztownUniversity
President’sMedal at theMay
Commencement. Ribble is
being honored for his nine
years of service to the founda-
tion board, his extraordinary
philanthropy and his outstand-
ing leadership in co-chairing
the $15millionSetting the Stage
capital campaign.
