If you would like to submit a testimonial for
the president, please send it to info@kutztownu-
foundation.org.We will forward all that we
receive to him.
With gratitude and sadness,we prepare to say good-
bye toKUPresident DR. F. JAVIERCEVALLOS
as he leaves KutztownUniversity to assume the
presidency at Framingham State University in
Massachusetts.Cevallos has served KUwith
passion and integrity for the past 12 years, andwe
are very proud of his accomplishments.
As a “thank you” to Cevallos, we conducted a
special campaign to create a legacy that will benefit
the campus and students he loved for generations
to come. This initiative raisedmore than $300,000
for unrestricted scholarships, endowment and renova-
tions to Schaeffer and Sharadin.
We invited alumni to share their thoughts and
memories of Cevallos. This is a selection of what
we received:
“One of the reasons I became reconnected to
KU is President Cevallos. He clearly believed
in the university and its community. As I walk
through the campus today, I see a place that
has grown in so many ways. I believe the vision
and leadership skills exhibited by Dr. Cevallos
have made this possible. I am proud to be a
KU alum.”
— LINDA MANWILLER ’72
“He was easily the best president that KU ever
had, and he will be missed. Thanks to him,
KU has several new buildings and several
refurbished buildings, each of which add to
the beauty of the university.”
— JOE ZAGORSKI ’00
“Many of your accomplishments will be seen
forever at Kutztown University. Improvements are
seen in new and renovated buildings, the changes
in curriculum that complywithmodern day living
needs, support of your faculty and keeping the
channels open by communicatingwith your staff
at Kutztown University. These accomplishments
are deeply appreciated by both students and
professors. You can be proud of your lasting
legacy to the university.”
