David Caruth ’08

is seeking a four-

year term on the Parkland School

Board. Caruth works as a senior sales

and marketing consultant and serves

as an officer on his homeowners’

association board.

Ian Clark ’08,

managing director of

Dichotomy Capital, participated in

InvestPitch, a multimedia platform

produced by Institutional Investor

and SumZero, that accelerates the

discovery of emerging managers and

their best investing ideas. Clarke’s pitch

focused on deep-water oil drilling by

Transocean rigs.

Alayne Tetor ’08

had her work, “awAK-

enings” displayed at Homer Council on

the Arts. Tetor enjoys the art of drawing

and painting, based on her love and

connection with the outdoors and

mountain culture. She currently teaches

art—including drawing, painting, print-

making, sculpture, photography and

video—at Homer High School.

Joseph Hohman ’09

has been promoted

to assistant dean of students at Marietta

College in Marietta, Ohio.

Robert Jenkins ’09

displayed his painted

work of three-dimensional insects as

a solo collection with the Art Partners

Studio in Coatesville, Pa. Art Partners

worked with representatives from the

Coatesville Savings Bank to display

the work of community artists, and

Jenkins was the first artist to have work

displayed at the bank. Jenkins’ work

was on display at more than 35 locations

before his exhibit in Coatesville. His

most recent involvement in teaching

is as a Caln Elementary School art

instructor for students in second, third

and fifth grades.

Joseph Kemmerer ’09

is currently the

owner and head coach of the Hammer

Wrestling Club in Morristown, Tenn.

Kimberly (Shook) Tanzos ’09

was

selected by Clay on Main as this year’s

Artist in Residence. She currently works

as a museum educator at the Allentown

Art Museum, is a resident artist at the

Banana Factory, Bethlehem, and also

works at Penn State Lehigh Valley as

the assistant to the arts coordinator.

She teaches at Northampton Com-

munity College, Clay on Main and the

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.

Lena Ziegler ’09,

an Americorps Vista

member, has been placed by the Austin

Peay State University’s Center for Service

Learning and Community Engagement

in Clarksville, Tenn., through a partner-

ship with the Corporation for National

and Community Service. As part of the

Community Strong program, which aims

to strengthen community resources,

Vista volunteers are placed in local

agencies that impact the quality of life

for veterans and those struggling with

hunger and homelessness.

The 2010s

Roderick Devine ’10

was sworn in and

received his department badge as an

Allentown police officer.

Vincent Gering ’10

has been named

account executive of Allentown-based

marketing communications agency First

Generation. He will be responsible for

pursuing new accounts to expand the

business. He was previously the loca-

tion manager at Aramark in Kutztown,

where he worked with the marketing

department and managed large events

for KU.

Justin Tuerk ’10

is compiling a book

that photographically documents his

seven-week summer road trip across

America. He followed in the footsteps

of Jack Kerouac’s famous journey from

the novel,

“On the Road,”

as part of his

master’s thesis. Tuerk is also working

on recording and releasing musical

performances, as well as other sound art

related materials.

Jeffrey Mason ’11

is pursuing a master’s

degree in public policy with a focus

on local government administration at

New England College. In 2013, he lead

a statewide effort to save an Amtrak

line that was in jeopardy of being lost

due to lack of funding and new national

laws that leave funding to the states. He

produced two petitions that gathered

more than 8,000 concerned citizens.

Currently, Mason is the deputy executive

director of the Pennsylvania Center for

Civic and Community Engagement.

Shawn Arbaugh ’12

has been named

township manager of South Londonderry

Township. He is currently employed by

the Pennsylvania Department of Envi-

ronmental Protection as a water quality

specialist environmental group manager

in the clean water and compliance

section. Arbaugh was also a combat

engineer deployed to a combat zone for

12 months in support of Operation Iraqi

Freedom, where he received commen-

dations for valiant service.

Kevin Bolinsky ’12

has been named head

football coach by the Shenandoah Valley

School District for the 2015-2016 season.

Patrick Brehm ’12

was hired as a patrol-

man at the Bethlehem Township Police

Department.

Erin Pleskach ’12

joined Classic Properties’

Kingston real estate office. Pleskach

attended the Pennsylvania Real Estate

Academy in Kingston in summer 2014,

and has worked in the customer service

industry for nine years.

Shoshana Roberts ’12

helped produce

a video to raise awareness of street

harassment, which went viral with more

than 10 million views. For more than 10

hours, Roberts walked in New York City

as part of a hidden-camera experiment.

The two-minute video, made by the group,

Hollaback!

, was featured online by CNN,

the

Washington Post,

the

Wall Street

Journal

and many other news sites.
