MSW Field Profiles 2018-19

MSW Arianelys De Jesus 2018-2019 Agency Name: Family Promise of Carbon County Profile: Family Promise of Carbon County is a non-profit organization that provide temporary shelter, meals, and fellowship to homeless families in Carbon County and the surrounding community to help the families achieve and sustain independence. FPCC provides services to help and empower families by providing weekly intensive case management, individual and family therapy, nutrition, finance and parenting classes. Field Placement Responsibilities: My role as an intern allows me to gain experiences in the micro, mezzo and macro level. I will be working directly with the Director of the agency to assist with grant writing, planning and organizing events, and fundraisings. I will provide direct case management, individual and family counseling. I will assist with both the finance and parenting classes and the volunteer training. Future Goals: After graduating with my MSW, I would like to continue working in the health care setting and work toward earning my LCSW. My goal is to work in Hospice and Gerontology.
