MSW Field Profiles 2018-19

MSW Kristin Shean 2018-2019 Agency Name: Valley Against Sex Trafficking (VAST) Profile: The focus of the agency is to reduce and eliminate commercial sex exploitation, particularly in the Lehigh Vally. This is done through community awareness campaigns, victim outreach, survivor support, and campaigning for policy change on the local, state, and federal levels. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities are primarily research and development of protocols that can be used to promote community awareness and information to provide to volunteers. I am also involved in local policy campaigning as well as the Speaker's Bureau in which I deliver informational presentations to interested groups in the area. Future Goals: My future goals include assisting schools to develop transitional programs for students with autism to transition from high school to college, then to independent living.
