MSW Field Profiles 2018-19

MSW Osvaldo Samboy-Perez 2018-2019 Agency Name: Service Access Management Profile: Service Access Management is located in Reading, Pennsylvania and serves clients with a mental health diagnosis. Also, Service Access Management provides housing services to the homeless population, however, these recipients need to be diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis to qualify for the assistance. The client works closely with a case manager to create and set time frames to meet goals. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field responsibilities will include, assisting Spanish speaking families complete the housing application. I will also be responsible for educating them on time lines and expectations of the housing program. On many days I will be responsible for attending Treatment Court, for clients involved with Service Access Management and providing information to the judge regarding the client. The Judge will make decision on whether the client is making enough progress to continue in Treatment Court. Future Goals: Finish my MSW and obtain my LSW. Eventually I would like to work at a hospital. Department of Social Work
