AthleticHall of Fame Inducts SixNewMembers
Kutztown University named JIM
CLEMENTS the new head football
coach in March. Clements comes to
Kutztown after spending eight years
as head coach at Division III Delaware
Valley College, Doylestown, Pa. He is
the 16th head coach in Kutztown’s
modern football history and the
winningest coach in Delaware Valley
history with an overall record of
66-24 from 2006-13. He held a .500
or better record in each of his eight
years andwon four Middle Atlantic
Conference (MAC) championships
(2008-11) with three NCAA second
round appearances (2009-11).
Clements was a three-time MAC
Coach of the Year (2009-11) and
capped his runwith an undefeated
season in 2011. He was named the
2010 American Football Coaches
Association (AFCA) Region 2 Coach
of the Year and the 2011 Maxwell Club
Tri-State Coach of the Year, when his
teamwent undefeated. He played at
Widener University and anchored the
defensive line, as the Pridewon the
conference crown and reached the
1994 South Region final of the NCAA
Division III playoffs. Clements was a
three-year starter and recorded 154
tackles in his career.

field hockey; KELLIEEVANS ’03,
softball; GREGGRISTICK ’81,
football; andBILALA.SALAAM ’05,
men’s basketball.
The six new inductees increase
themembership to 181 since theHall
of Fame was formed in 1977.
HaddadClaims National Heavyweight
Championship
ZIADHADDAD, a redshirt junior fromOrefield, Pa., can now call himself a
national champion after winning the NCAADivision II National Heavyweight
Championship at theClevelandPublicAuditorium inMarch.Haddadwent a perfect
25-0 last season and is just the secondKUwrestler in school history to finish the
season undefeated.He was the top-ranked heavyweight inDivision II for the entire
season and capped his year with a 5-4 decision over fourth-ranked JacobMitchell of
California Baptist,who also entered thematch undefeated.
Haddad earned his secondAll-America honor in asmany seasons; he holds a 51-5
career record in his two years at KU for a 91.0winning percentage.Haddadwas also
the Super Region IChampion and is the secondGoldenBear towin a national title.
JOEKEMMERER ’09 (133) earned top honors in 2007 and 2009.
ZiadHaddad captures
the national title and
an undefeated season.
