MSW Sydnee Peters 2018-2019 Agency Name: Youth Advocate Program Profile: The Youth Advocate Program is a nonprofit agency that offers a variety of different services. The Community Treatment Center program, is an alternative to placement for juvenile boys ages 13-18. The program focuses on supporting youth post-adjudication to aide in compliance and other needs. The program also provides reintegration support for boys transitioning out of placement. Field Placement Responsibilities: As a MSW level intern, I am responsible for running both individual and group sessions. The group sessions are focused on anger management, social skills, and drug and alcohol. I conduct assessments with individual clients such as ACE, Casey Life Skills, CANS, etc. I am responsible for monitoring my clients' progress throughout their time in the program and for providing them the support and guidance that they need to be successfully reintegrated into society. Future Goals: My future goals are to work in both child welfare and geriatrics throughout my career as a social worker. Department of Social Work
