BSW Marah Schembri 2020 Agency Name: Kutztown Community Partnership Profile: Kutztown Community Partnership is a community - driven non - profit organization dedicated to the economic revitalization and preservation of Kutztown. The Partnership serves to build community, relationships, and foster cultural and economic collaboration in Kutztown. KCP envisions Kutztown as a community that welcomes all our efforts: to get an education and do business. Field Placement Responsibilities: The first role is an enabler because I will be providing encouragement and suggestions during supervision with my field instructor, or when working directly with clients. I will be using communication skills, such as eye contact, attentive listening, and facial expression. The next role is an advocate because I will be speaking on behalf of the client system using advocacy skills such as administrative and client advocacy. Lastly, the role of a consultant providing advice, suggestions, and ideas to groups and organizations. I will be providing advice to my field instructor when asked, and I will be representing the perspective of a university student who is part of the Kutztown community. I will be using skills such as program development and evaluation. Future Goals: Identify my actions and behaviors to social work standards and values. Improve my communication skills.
