BSW Field Profiles 2020-21

BSW Adiatu Mansaray 2020 Agency Name: Social Workers and Advocates at Kutztown (SWAK) Profile: SWAK is for students that are interested in social work. It gives these students the opportunity to network and convene with other students and community members to discuss issues, concerns, and events relative to the social work field. Further, SWAK focuses on various opportunities to engage students in micro, mezzo, and macro practice, both on - campus and throughout the greater community. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities are to work with the executive board to plan and deliver the activities of the organization. This includes supporting the Department of Social Work events and students. Examples include Professional Inventory Meeting study groups, facilitating the All - Majors Meeting, and developing and holding voting information and registration sessions. Future Goals: My future goal at SWAK is to get involved as much as possible, working with other students to support and participate both in school and in the community for a common goal. This will help me as I transition to being a professional social worker upon graduation. Department of Social Work
