BSW Field Profiles 2020-21

BSW Riley Kampia 2020 Agency Name: Co County Wellness Services Profile: Co County Wellness Services' main focus is to improve overall public health through service, education, and advocacy. Their contact tracing program specifically is meant to improve our local communities overall health, regarding COVID - 19. Co County Wellness Services is partnered with the PA Department of Health and funded by the County of Berks, to provide necessary services to their community members. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement is with Co County Wellness as a Contact Tracer. My responsibilities include calling individuals and informing them on the necessary steps to stay safe and keep others around them safe. The individuals I will be calling are "contacts," This is because they recently came into close contact with someone who has COVID - 19. I then have to check in on them regularly until their quarantine period is over. Future Goals: I am planning on going for my MSW. I would like to work in a hospital setting, emergency room specifically. My goal is to be a licensed clinical social worker, or something along those same lines. Department of Social Work
