BSW Field Profiles 2020-21

BSW Andrew Harron 2020 Agency Name: Kutztown LGBTQ+ Resource Center Profile: The agencies main focus is advocating for the LGBTQ+ population here on campus at K utztown U niversity , as well as offering support groups, discussion groups, and more. We also provide a safe space here at the center, that allows anyone to feel safe, welcome, and free of judgment . Field Placement Responsibilities: Some of my responsibilities at the center include signing guest in, cleaning up the center, holding virtual office hours for the center, work with Allies, and other organizations on campus. I am currently working on a voter outreach campaign, with the hope to increase voter turnout in this upcoming election. I have created a survey , and have offered other resources on how to check registration , apply for a mail in ballot, and more voting tips. Future Goals: My future goal is to use my social work experience and use that to work on policy change and advocacy for systemic reform , doing macro practice work . Department of Social Work
