Both the women’s and men’s rugby teams com-
peted in the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby
Championship May 29-31 at PPL Park in
Philadelphia.
The Kutztown women finished in seventh
place out of 12 teams.They went 3-3 with wins
over the University of Arizona, Boston University
and James Madison University.
The men went 4-2 and made it to the
championship round for the second straight
year.They fell in overtime to the University of
California, the same team that beat them in the
2014 championship round. KU scored wins over
Air Force, Temple University, University of
Arizona and Indiana University.
This is the third straight year that both KU
teams have been selected for the tournament.
