MSW Celines Valerio 2022 Agency Name: RKAA-Thomas Ford Profile: Celines Valerio, Advanced Level MSW student, will be working with credit deficient students who need additional programming and supports to acquire the credits they need to graduate high school. Field Placement Responsibilities: Celines will become familiar with analyzing IEP’s, what parts of the IEP’s are pertinent to the school social worker, how to work in cohesion with the rest of the school professionals such as school counselor, dean, and assistant principal. Celines will also become familiar with educational policies such as the new ACT 1 and how they guide and influence school services and responsibilities. Celines will learn and implement intervention groups to work with students who are consistently absent from classes in effort to improve attendance and academic progress. Future Goals: Celines plans to continue her education toward an LCSW. After earning her MSW and School Social Work Certificate, she hopes to work in a school where she can help support students in underserved communities. Department of Social Work
