MSW Field Profiles 2019-20

Nicole Ruela 2019 Agency Name: Lebanon County Children & Youth Services Profile: Protect the rights of the children in Lebanon County to a safe and secure environment, Provide comprehensive and evaluation services to families in need of support and guidance, and Promote the integrity of the family unit whenever possible without regard to race, creed, or culture. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will be working with agencies and service providers to come up with a truancy elimination policy. I will be in communication with the schools in Lebanon County to revamp the truancy policy as well as the expectations set forth from the agency while service providers and programs are working with the families that we serve. I will be involved in communicating with the schools, service providers, and families to set an initial meeting to address the concern of truancy and what can be done moving forward. I will develop ideas for incentives for the child to attend school whether it is activities offered through programs or within the agency. I will be communicating with potential programs to develop contracts with Lebanon County Children and Youth Services to serve individuals and families. Future Goals: I would like to obtain my LSW and be a children/families therapist if I do not stay in ChildWelfare. Department of Social Work
