MSW Field Profiles 2019-20

Erika Evans 2019 Agency Name: North Schuylkill School District, North Schuylkill Elementary School Profile: North Schuylkill Elementary provides children in grades K-6 with the proper education that is needed. The social work department provides social, emotional, and behavioral support to both regular and special education students. Crisis counseling may also be necessary for some students in the district. Referrals are also made to outside resources if extra support is needed at home or in the community. Field Placement Responsibilities: As a graduate student intern at North Schuylkill Elementary, I will have the opportunity to observe and interact with the students. I will engage with students both individually and in a group setting. My responsibilities as an intern will be to meet with numerous students in the building, provide support, complete activities, shadow, as well as co- facilitate group and individual sessions. Future Goals: After receiving my MSW, I plan to complete the licensing examination and become a LCSW. My goal is to find a job in an elementary school and become a school social worker.
