BSW Field Profiles 2021-22

BSW Samantha Strobel 2021 Agency Name: Berks County Children & Youth Services Profile: Berks County Children and Youth Services aims to protect the safety, emotional, and physical well - being of children while strengthening their families. For families at risk of future abuse or neglect, protective, preventive, and monitoring services are implemented to allow the child(ren) to remain in their homes. Children under the age of 18 are protected. Field Placement Responsibilities: I am currently in the in - home unit at BCCYS where I am responsible for making phone calls, facilitating family interviews, attending court hearings, and joining for in - home visits. I am also expected to complete and submit necessary documentation related to my assigned cases. Future Goals: After receiving my BSW, I plan on staying at KU to receive my MSW in Child Welfare. Eventually, I intend to achieve my DSW. Department of Social Work
