As part of homecoming weekend, Kutztown University welcomed
Ryan Vogelsong
back to campus for a special day of awards and
honors. A two-time MLB World Series Champion pitcher with the San
Francisco Giants, Vogelsongmade a triumphant return to Kutztown
University, where he played for the Golden Bears from 1996– 98. He
was honored by the Borough of Kutztown, the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) and the Kutztown University President’s
Office and had his #14 jersey retired during halftime of KU’s
homecoming football game at Andre Reed Stadium.
Vogelsong signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates for the
2016 season.
