Graduate Assistants (3) Although teamwork is essential for most projects and duties, each of the three graduate assistants is assigned some distinct responsibilities. 1. FRESH Coordinator and Social Exchange Program Planner - Farah Nazzal (ext. 34810, Rm. 205) Specializes in personal development.Her main job responsibility is to advise and further develop and implement the FRESH Project, a first-year student advisory team for planning academic, social, and personal development activities for first year students. She will also utilize the activities of FRESH to feed into and serve as recruitment for the REAL academy (See GA- Leadership) and helps facilitate some of the REAL programs. Other responsibilities include planning social exchange programs (generally centered around various cultures for all students) and promote all MCC Events. 2. Coordinator for Granted Access Project and Special Projects - Arashi Mesa- Melo (ext. 34808, Rm. 204) Specializes in college awareness and initiatives. She also researches new initiatives and special projects. She is responsible for generating and tabulating our general assessments. Her main responsibilities are to plan and coordinate on-campus activities for the college prep/awareness program - GAP (Granted Access Project), as well as provide services to GAP participants on location at their schools.
