40 YEARS OF BUSINESS Celebrating Our Past, Welcoming Our Future The College of Business launched its 40th anniversary celebration with energy, connection, and pride this fall. Faculty and staff gathered outside the Rickenbach Learning Center on Thursday, September 4, to welcome students with a festive kickoff event featuring build-your-own tacos, baked goods, and time to connect with professors and classmates. The celebration continued through Homecoming, where alumni returned to campus to reconnect with the faculty and friends who helped shape their journeys. Dean Anne Carroll reflected on the College’s evolution, noting that while the College of Business was officially founded 40 years ago, business education at KU began even earlier. Honoring four decades of learning, leadership, and innovation, she shared her excitement for what the next milestone will bring. Reuniting with alumni while welcoming the next generation of business leaders made one thing clear. The foundation built over the past 40 years is stronger than ever, and the future is just getting started. 13
