The Kutztown University Department of Electronic
Media was awarded a Mid-Atlantic regional Emmy in
September for its documentary on Eastern State
Penitentiary. Those honored with the award were
Ryan Hedrick ’13, producer/videographer; Andrew
Donahue ’14, videographer; Shawn Petcaugh ’13,
editor; and Helen Bieber, professor of electronic
media and department chair, and former professor
Andrew Skitko, advisors.
KU garnered four nominations from the National
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. KU swept
the Arts, Entertainment and Public Affairs category
of College and University Productions.
