I am interning at Berks Counseling Center (BCC) in the clinical department. Berks Counseling Center is certified community behavioral health clinic as well as an integrated community wellness center that provides both behavioral and physical health services to children and adults. Field Placement Responsibilities: As an intern, I will be creating treatment plans with individuals who have mental health diagnoses and/or have substance use disorders. From there, I will work with these individuals using evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivation interviewing. I will also be cofacilitating intensive outpatient groups and dual diagnoses groups. Future Goals: I would like to obtain my license and continue to work in the child welfare field.
