MSW Elizabeth Bennetch 2019 Agency Name: Lebanon Crisis Intervention Profile: WellSpan Phil haven Crisis Intervention is located at Good Samaritan Hospital and provides immediate and short-term services to individuals in mental health crisis. They provide both Emergency Department and mobile assessments. Crisis Intervention is dedicated to community service as evidenced by their efforts to engage in local events, such as Suicide Awareness and Mental Health Screenings. Field Placement Responsibilities: I will be operating as a CrisisWorker that provides assessments in the Emergency Department and in the community. I will be assessing for level of care for individuals who are in crisis. These assessments include determining if an individual is a harm to themselves and others. I will also be responsible for working with a team of professionals, including physicians and nurses, to provide appropriate and prompt mental health care. The role of the Crisis Worker provides a compassionate and empathetic environment for individuals to who find themselves in crisis. I will also be involved with community projects, such as Suicide Awareness month in Lebanon County, assisting with fundraising and media efforts. Future Goals: I hope to be involved in my community, by serving on committees and action groups. I hope to work in a community program, such as residential or mobile social rehabilitation, within the mental health field. Department of Social Work
