MSW Field Profiles 2019-20

MSW Jamie Smith 2017 Agency Name: Mental Health Consultants at the Reading Hospital Profile: Emergency Department Field Placement Responsibilities: The primary role of the Mental Health Consultant is to conduct acute mental health assessments for individuals who are struggling with psychiatric symptoms. I am also learning how to document the Acute mental health assessment within the clinical software system known as EPIC. I will be seeking out weekly supervision with professional social worker who will help me to reflect on my field experience. By the end of the field experience, I should be fully prepared with the skills and competencies to become a Mental Health Consultant myself. Future Goals: I would like to complete the MSW program here at Kutztown University and expand my knowledge of the Mental Health field while interning at the Reading Hospital Emergency Department. Upon my graduation I would like to complete my License Requirements and eventually become a LCSW. Eventually I would like to earn my DSW. Department of Social Work
