BSW Jasmine Jones 2018-2019 Agency Name: Lehigh Valley Hospital-17th & Chew St. Profile: Lehigh Valley Hospital is part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. It’s a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Allentown community and surrounding areas. Lehigh Valley Hospital seeks to provide patients with the highest quality health care services supported by education and research and provided compassionately by Lehigh Valley Hospital staff. Field Placement Responsibilities: I am part of the Health Advocacy Program. As a Health Advocate, my duty is to service community members in need. I utilize the planned change method when brokering clients to resources for their non-medical needs and serve as an advocate to ensure their basic needs are met. My duties within the Health Advocacy Program require research, cultural awareness, and a genuine desire to help people. Future Goals: After completing my BSW, I plan on beginning graduate school at Kutztown University. When I obtain my MSW, I hope to immediately seek employment as a social worker with clients on a micro level. Department of Social Work
