STARS program supports selected incoming freshmen and is designed to familiarize them with the rigor of KU’s academic experience. It includes mentorship, advisement, support, and social activities. The program is a fiveweek experience that provides two courses (six college-level credits). Starfish Starfish is a retention tool facilitating communication among students, faculty, and staff. It provides an easy way for students to reach out for assistance, for faculty to provide feedback to students, and for all users to actively engage in supporting a student's opportunities for success.
