Topics include, but are not limited to, navigating the transition to KU, understanding transfer credit, syllabus mapping, utilizing KU technology, time management skills, and learning styles. Students can schedule appointments with a coordinator in Starfish, stop by the Rohrbach Library Room 11, or email success@kutztown.edu First Year Experience The First Year Experience (FYE) program at KU is dedicated to supporting first-year students through the early stages of their college and academic journey. The goal is to establish a supportive and welcoming educational setting through close collaboration with First-Year Seminar faculty as well as by engaging students through individual meetings and workshops. There is a dedicated Coordinator for Student Success & First-Year Experience who is available to help students through individual meetings in their first-year as they learn to navigate KU. This role provides personalized support, guidance, and strategies to help students overcome obstacles, improve their academic performance, and reach their full potential. Transfer Engagement The Coordinator for Student Success & Transfer Engagement is available for individual meetings to assist students with transfer credits, including test credit and dual enrollment credits. As a support staff for those who need assistance transitioning and acclimating to KU, this role reviews students for general education waivers, assists with reverse transfer and readmission students, and collaborates closely with faculty. The Coordinator for Student Success and Transfer Engagement oversees National Transfer Student Week and advises the honor society for transfer students- Tau Sigma. This personalized support is available to aid in success from the time students commit to KU through graduation. Tutoring Services Tutoring Services offers a comprehensive program that helps students to improve their course content knowledge and study strategies, while supporting their individual learning goals. Tutors are available for most 100 and 200 level courses and some upper-level courses. Tutoring Services attempts to find tutors for all classes that have tutoring requests. However, it is not guaranteed that tutors will be available for the requested course.
