MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Jocelina Gomez - Baez 2021 Agency Name: Berkshire Psychiatric Profile: My name is Jocelina Baez - Gomez. I am a first generation college student who graduated in spring of 2020 with a BSW from Kutztown University. I am in my last year of the Advance Level in the MSW Program. My placement is at Berks Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Services located in Reading, PA. This agency is dedicated to serving those with mental and behavioral health issues. Field Placement Responsibilities: Currently my roles and responsibilities as an intern are a counselor, evaluator, case coordinator, advocate, and most importantly a learner. I have my own assigned caseload where I meet with clients individually weekly for therapeutic counseling sessions. I conduct initial assessments, write progress notes, create treatment plans, broker clients to resources, and complete proper documentation for billing of services. Also, I participate in weekly DBT group meetings and Trauma Group meetings. Future Goals: I look forward to some day getting my DSW. I have also developed a great passion for the mental health field and consider continuing my social work career in this field. Department of Social Work
