MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Cory Mays 2021 Agency Name: Berks County Children and Youth Services Profile: Berks County Children and Youth Services focuses on the welfare and safe treatment of children in Berks County. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities include making ethical determinations to provide the safest housing placements for children suffering from neglect and abuse. In addition, I coordinate treatment efforts with families and providers to allow the maximum chance for reunification or for the child to remain at home when appropriate. Whenever it is not in the best interest of the child(ren) to remain in their home, multiple efforts are made to find a family member that is willing to adopt them. If this is unavailable or not appropriate, foster families are sought. Future Goals: My goal is to work with Veterans. I would like to be a Social Worker with the Veterans Affairs Administration.
