SPRING 2019 | 9 HERSHEY TRIP Twenty-four students and three faculty (Dr. Maskulka, Dr. Erkul, and Dr. Kang) traveled to Hershey Foods for a tour of Chocolate World. Jason Masgay, Manager of Experimental Retail Expansion, Chelsey Shuey, Product Planner Analytics, and Michael Rabinovitz, Senior Brand Manager led the tour, which was very enlightening for the students as they are doing an experiential learning project on point of purchase displays for Hershey Foods in their Retail Management class. Several faculty and students opted to “Create Your Own Candy Bar” which was educational and fun! AIMCOMPETITION Robert Wetherhold won first place at this year’s AIM Association Investment Competition. The second-place winner was Jared Meares. The third place winner was Miguel Lavarro. First place was awarded $250, second place $150 and third place $100. Each undergraduate and graduate student participating in the AIM Association Investment Competition invested an initial sum of $1 million in their simulated portfolios. The winners were determined by the percent of return generated by their portfolios. Keith Brown ‘15, Corporate Accounting Analyst at Carpenter Technology, presented Kevin Caulfied the Institute of Internal Auditors Senior award. Martin Levin, Managing Partner of RLB Accountants in Allentown, presented Rachel Keich the PICPA (Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountant) award.
