4 | INNOVISION MAGAZINE CONTENTS 4 | INNOVISION MAGAZINE FOLLOW US: NOTES FROM THE CHAIR Graduates of the Sport Management Program continue to make their mark in the sports industry. We have graduates working throughout the country, from coast to coast. They are working in a variety of sport businesses, ranging from professional teams (both major and minor leagues), fitness and sport centers, colleges, municipal parks, recreation departments, media and equipment manufacturers. We continue to expose our students to industry professionals. Last spring, we had one of our alumni, Cameron Lipnicki, Manager, Regional Sales for theWashington Wizards, return to campus to share his journey. This fall, Andrew Brandt, Executive Director of the Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law and former Vice President of the Green Bay Packers from 1999 - 2008, spoke with our students. In addition, the faculty continue to bring local sport professionals into their classrooms. This past year, we were able to take a number of our students to competitions such as the PA Sport Management Case Competition at Indiana University of PA and the National Collegiate Sales Competition in Atlanta, GA. The faculty of the department remain active in their scholarly pursuits and have presented research in Spain, Canada, Maryland, Pennsylvania, California, Louisiana and Idaho. Several faculty members have had articles published in research journals. We remain a very active, hardworking department. What we are most proud of is the success of our graduates and our students.
