Hanna has also worked for a local credit union. For her future, Hanna hopes to get a job that integrates her computer science and information technology minor. She says, “I really enjoy the logical way of thinking that’s needed to build programs and models. I really enjoy keeping busy and staying active, so overall, I want a job where I can keep bettering and pushing myself.” Right now, Hanna is looking for jobs in capital markets, quants and corporate banking. After graduation, she is hoping to go into the workforce full-time, but eventually, she wants to go to grad school at NYU for anMBA. Ten years down the line, Hanna plans to settle into a company where she can put her skills to work and grow. A career in forensic science, how cool does that sound? Senior Hanna Templin sure thought so. After graduating high school a year early, Hanna wanted to do something fun with her college degree at Penn State Berks. After taking her first chemistry course and not enjoying it, Hanna switched to two different science majors before realizing she wanted to pursue a more math-oriented path. While still at Penn State Berks, it was suggested to Hanna to go into accounting if she excelled at math. However, Hanna admits, “The real secret is, if you’re good at math, you should be in finance.” Once she realized going into finance would be her best option, Kutztown University came into the picture. She feared that staying at Penn State Berks would limit her in the field she aspired to pursue. For Hanna, Kutztown was the best school for her to transfer to because of its affordability, renowned College of Business, immersive classes and friendly professors. “My favorite part about KUhas to be the relationships that you’re able to formwith professors given the small class sizes,” she says.Throughout her years at Kutztown, she’s made strong bonds with her finance professors. She says, “I know I’ll always have resources here if I’m ever in need.” Hanna is also involved with clubs on campus. Currently, she is the president for the Finance Club and is the AIMScholar for the Kutztown HANNA TEMPLIN ‘20 Hanna Templin is a senior Finance major with two minors in Computer Science and Information Technology and Spanish. “My favorite part about KU has to be the relationships that you’re able to form with professors given the small class sizes.
