NASSM FELLOWDESIGNATION The Department of Sports Management and Leadership Studies is pleased to announce that Dr. Yongjae Kim earned the North American Society for Sports Management Research (NASSM) Fellow designation, and was recognized in an awards ceremony at the annual NASSM conference in Halifax, Canada. According to the NASSM website, the NASSM Research Fellow designation is intended to “(a) be one of distinction within NASSM and Fellows’ own academic communities and (b) encourage high standards of research and other forms of scholarship among NASSM’s members.” Those wishing to attain Research Fellow status must have a continuous and high quality record of scholarship. ROGER CPA REVIEWSCHOLARSHIP Roger CPA Review Scholarship recipient, Gabrielle Vandevere ‘16, a KU alum with a BS degree in accounting, was presented the 2018 Roger CPA Review for the 2018 scholarship program. From over 520 scholarship applicants, 25 recipients were chosen. This scholarship is given to CPA Exam candidates to help future accountants achieve their career goals. Through universities, professional organizations, and the annual open application program, the Roger CPA Review awards over $500,000 in course scholarships.
