AWARDS & RECOGNITION VETERAN-OWNED SBOY Ocean Eye, Inc. named 2018 Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year The Small Business Association named Ocean Eye, Inc. the Eastern Pa. 2018 Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year. Ocean Eye, Inc. is a veteran-owned corporation formed in 2005. The company provides equipment, services and training for the commercial diving industry. Chris Gabel, the founder of Ocean Eye, Inc. was introduced as Ocean Eye, Inc.’s firm president. With his diverse background in the Navy and in technology, Mr. Gabel has extensive experience with public safety diving and commercial diving. Chris has worked closely with Kutztown’s SBDC. Chris says, “I’ve appreciated the assistance of Kutztown’s SBDC for the last decade.” SBA AWARDS Kutztown’s SBDC was presented with the Small Business Administration’s Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award. They were nominated by the former state director because of their reputation as one of the best centers in the commonwealth. Kutztown’s center performed very well when it came to the four measurable metrics for federal funding. They met with many new clients, provided a substantial amount of counseling hours, were an integral part of capital infusion and documented a great number of business start-ups.
