ONGOING AWARENESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS FOR EMPLOYEES Social Equity Policies Training: All Kutztown University employees are required to complete the Social Equity Policies Training on an annual basis. The training covers KU’s Sex Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct (Title IX), Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Amorous Relationships Policies and Procedures. Title IX, including definitions, reporting obligations, resources and procedures, are addressed. The Social Equity Policies Training is available online through D2L and the Office of Social Equity offers in-person or virtual live trainings throughout the year. Employees are also invited to participate in all public programs at the institution, many of which are detailed in the prior section. Dean of Students Office: All employees involved in the Title IX process, including Title IX Coordinators, the Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, Associate Director of Student Conduct, Advisors, and Decision makers are required to participate in trainings related to cases involving sexual violence and/or intimate partner violence through the State University of New York (SUNY) Student Conduct Institute on an annual basis. Athletics: Kutztown University follows the NCAA mandate that all student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff members complete sexual assault prevention training on an annual basis. Typically, most student-athletes attend in-person training sessions, while coaches, athletic staff, and a handful of studentathletes, who are unable to attend an in-person training session, complete a separate training through D2L. Sex Offender Registration The federal Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act, enacted on October 28, 2000, requires institutions of higher education to issue a statement advising the campus community where the law enforcement agency information provided by a state concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained. It also requires sex offenders already required to register in a state to provide notice, as required under state law, of each institution of higher education in that state at which the person is employed, carries on a vocation, volunteers services or is a student.
