As an actor, he has played various characters on ABC’s “One Life to Live,” appeared on “SNL,” and has starred in more than 30 stage productions. Wehlski is an alumnus of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The New School, and The School for Film and Television. 2000s Mark Brown ’00 earned his doctoral degree in educational leadership from Immaculata University. Currently an elementary principal in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District, he resides in Palmyra, Pa., with his wife Christine ’00 and their three children. John Hoptak ’00 earned a master’s degree in history from Lehigh University. He also holds an Instructional I Certificate in Social Studies and Citizenship Education in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Hoptak is currently employed as a Park Ranger/Park Educator at Gettysburg National Military Park. Previous to working at Gettysburg, he worked for eight seasons as a Park Ranger at the Antietam National Battlefield. Hoptak has taught courses as an adjunct instructor at American Military University. He has written articles for America’s Civil War, Civil War Times, and Pennsylvania Heritage, as well as authoring several books. Joe Zagorski ’00 published his fourth book, The 2,003Yard Odyssey: The Juice, The Electric Company, and an Epic Run for a Record, about the 1973 Buffalo Bills and their record-setting running back, O.J. Simpson. Former NFL Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy wrote the foreword for the book. Zagorski is a member of the Pro Football Writers of America and the Pro Football Researchers Association. He has written several previous books about various teams and players. He is also a contributing writer for the website Pro Football Journal and administrator of the Facebook page, The NFL in the 1970s. Zagorski resides in Oak Ridge, Tenn. With more than 25 years’ experience in television broadcast, David Crosson ’02 is a remote technical manager for the NBC Sports Group, video engineer for the Philadelphia Eagles, remote technical manager for DAZN sports, and Engineer in Charge for executive leadership communication in corporate facilities. His diverse career also covers enter- tainment and theater. Crosson is certified in electronic and electrical engineering. Curin Romich ’02 is the vice president of Business Development and Cash Management at Fleetwood Bank. Romich has more than 23 years in the banking industry, 12 in supervisory roles and nine as a bank officer. Jennifer Castro ’05, M’09 was appointed director of Admissions at Kutztown University in September 2023. She brings more than 15 years of experience to this role, previously working at East Stroudsburg and Lehigh universities. Kent Eisenhuth ’06 is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an award-winning design- er. As a data visualization lead at Google, Eisenhuth focuses on the accessibility of data. He led the design of Loon’s network orchest- ration system and created its first design system. Before that, he helped establish Rivet, an AI-powered app that helped 15 million K-5 students develop their reading skills. Eisenhuth’s work and ideas have appeared in many publi- cations, including Fast Company, Tech Crunch, The Guardian and Smashing Magazine. He has presented talks and ideas at many conferences such as IxDA’s Interaction, SXSW, and he’s a frequent guest lecturer at universities across the United States – including Kutztown. His first book, “Drawing Product Ideas: Fast and Easy UX Drawing for Anyone” is available on Amazon. Steffy ’06, ’09, library director at Alvernia University, co-authored the article “PAUSE for Your Health: A New End-User Tool for Evaluating Consumer Health News and Online Re-sources” that was recently published in The Reference Librarian journal. The article presents a new method to help consumers evaluate health information. Steffy holds graduate degrees from Rutgers University (Master of Library and Information Science) and East Stroudsburg University (M.A., Professional and Digital Media Writing). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies at Marywood University. She is a member of KU’s English Advisory Panel. Deborah S. Smalley M’08 is the chief financial officer and treasurer for Precision Roll Grinders. In that role, she manages all the organization’s financial functions, including risk management, cash management, investment decisions and financial planning. Smalley is also responsible for developing internal control policy guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting for the company’s four sites. Raymond Spaddy ’08 is a director of Product at STARZ | Streaming, Entertainment Industry. He lives in Marina del Rey, Calif. 2010s Jillian (Winkelspecht) Brubaker ’10 is the founder of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Archer Foundation for Hydrocephalus.
