The newly renovated de Francesco Building, home of KU’s College of Business, opened for student and faculty use this fall semester. Interior upgrades throughout the building have created a modern aesthetic that reflects a corporate setting. There is increased lounge and group study space for students, along with more space for computer labs. The renovations also allow for all College of Business departments to be housed within one building, along with the Small Business Development Center. De Fran was originally built in 1968 and housed the social sciences, foreign languages, history and political science departments. The building was renovated and expanded in the 1990s, and eventually became home to the College of Business. Campus welcomes upgraded de Francesco Building It is named after Italo de Francesco, president of Kutztown State College from 1959-1967. Above: Front lounge space during construction.
