Since 1985, the College of Business has delivered highvalue, career-focused education to Kutztown University students, boasting thousands of alumni around the globe. From prestigious accreditations to facility upgrades, the college has grown significantly over the last four decades, always with student success at the forefront. “My KU background positioned me for a 30-year career with increasing responsibility, culminating as vice president and treasurer of a Fortune 500 company. Many thanks to my classmates and professors for a great experience,” says Brad Huntington ’89, who works at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). One of the first milestones in the college’s journey occurred in 1993, when the Small Business Development Center opened. The center offers pro-bono consulting and seminars to local entrepreneurs and gives students handson experience while connecting with the local business community. The center continues to operate on campus and, in 2018, became the home to the lead office for the state network of SBDCs. ANNIVERSARY TO THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS Celebrate With Us! Saturday, October 18, 2025 | 10 a.m.–noon | Outside de Francesco Building Join alumni, students, faculty and friends for a special 40th anniversary event during Homecoming Weekend. Visit www.kuf.org/homecoming or email cob@kutztown.edu to RSVP. The college launched its Master of Business Administration program in 2007, quickly becoming one of KU’s most sought-after graduate degrees. Then in 2010, the Sport Management program joined the business school, strengthening the connection between athletics and business education. A major milestone followed in 2015 with accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, an elite designation held by only 6% of business schools worldwide, and the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). “It’s been quite the journey to get recognized externally for the quality of our program,” says Dr. Anne Carroll, who has led the college as dean since 2017. “Accreditation validates quality. To get there, there had to be significant reorganization, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.” In 2023, the de Francesco Building reopened with a modernized, accessible design, hosting state-of-the-art technology in classrooms, conference rooms and seven new private study rooms.
