*indicates emeriti faculty and staf Tyler Lepley ’11, known for his roles in television shows “P-Valley,” “Harlem” and Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots,” stepped off the big screen in Hollywood and into Tampa’s food scene with the opening of his restaurant in Seminole Heights. Rowan University named Eric Brennan ’12 head men’s basketball coach, after serving as the interim head coach for the 2023-24 season. He started his coaching career at Philadelphia University (now Jefferson) under Hall of Fame coach Herb Magee, where the Rams won three conference titles and participated in the NCAA Tournament four times. Brennan’s collegiate playing career included two years at Kutztown (2010-12) where he was a two-time All-PSAC selection and named team MVP in 2012. Upon graduation, he played professionally in Finland for a season. Prior to taking on the head coaching role, Brennan was the assistant director of ad- missions at Rowan Global and then became the director of graduate and online admissions in 2023. Brennan earned an MBA from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2018 and received his doctorate in higher education from Rowan in 2024. Jenna Breiner ’13 has been named assistant vice president, branch manager at the Quakertown Commons Office inside the Giant Food Store. She is responsible for all aspects of branch management, including staff development, new business development and supporting community and customer relationships. Breiner has 10 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as a financial center manager at Penn Community Bank. Evan Karahuta ’15 is the clinical director at Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry in Columbus. After graduating from KU, Karahuta earned a master’s degree from The Ohio State University. Sheila (MacLean) McCloskey M’15 published a novel, “Who Opens Our Eyes: A Cinderella Story,” targeted at young adult and new readers, high school age and over. It is a Christian/historical fiction novel in which the classic Cinderella story is interwoven with the parable of the Good Samaritan and the conversion of St. Paul. It explores themes of forgiveness, redemptive suffering and the transformative power of God’s mercy and love. Fr. Matthew J. Kuna ’16 serves as chaplain of the St. Christopher Catholic Newman Center, Kutztown, and Berks Catholic High School, Reading. Kuna began his priestly formation at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he received a master of divinity and master of arts in systematic theology. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Allentown June 4, 2022. Joe Scoboria ’16 and Sabina Russo ’21 were married in August 2024 by classmate Fr. Matthew Kuna ’16. While at KU, Scoboria was a dual major in special education and elementary education with a minor in history who served as president of Student Government Board from 2014-16, while Kuna was president of the Newman Council. Kelsey McGuire ’17, a teacher at Overbrook School for the Blind, founded Philadelphia Blind Hockey, the first and only blind hockey team in the city. Kayla McKinney Mullen ’17 was selected by the Delta Zeta Sorority as a 2024 recipient of the 35 Under 35 award. She is currently marketing and public relations manager for Faithful Friends Animal Society, a private nonprofit animal welfare organization and no-kill animal shelter serving Delaware. Emma Oslé ’17, an advanced Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art History and a former adjunct lecturer in the Department of Latino and Caribbean Studies at Rutgers-New Brunswick, earned the Big 10 Academic Alliance/Terra Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship in American Art. Emily Hartung ’18 is currently employed as a senior graphic designer at a marketing agency in Lancaster, Pa. During COVID, she started a freelance business of painting murals. Over the past four years, she has painted murals across eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey with clients including retail locations, residential homes, and organizations such as Visit Bucks County and the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. She recently finished her eighth mural at Wheat and Vine Provisions Co. in Doylestown, Pa. Jennifer Smith ’18 has spent the last seven years teaching in a special education preschool classroom, and she was named Teacher of the Year by her school district. Maddison Elizabeth Stewart ’18 is currently a political appointee under U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer. She is currently traveling with Chavez-DeRemer’s on the "America at Work" listening tour. Prior to this position, Stewart was deputy political director for the Republican State Leadership Committee in Washington, D.C. After her graduation from KU, she interned in the White House and later worked on President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. 2020s Leila I. Little D’20 was appointed assistant principal at Louis E. Dieruff High School in Allentown, Pa. She spent most of her career with the Allentown School District, serving as the science department chair since 2011. She has been instrumental in revitalizing the Learning Dome at Dieruff, designing an innovative curriculum for all students K-12. Shannon Strohl M’20 works as a licensed counselor for Thoughtfull Wellness, LLC. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Moravian University, a master of arts in clinical mental health counseling from KU, and a Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision from Duquesne University – all by age 30.
