11 Guest Speakers Internship 12 Isaias Oviedo, 2024 Spring Intern “Making sales is scary and very intimidating because I’ve never done cold calling before but with the help from the staff at the Royals, I got over my fear and was making calls every day. I also assisted with game-day operations, whetherrolling out the mats for performances on the ice or participating in bubble soccer with the other interns. I am thankful for everybody at the Royals as they were helpful and made me feel at home. I am thankful also for all the professors who over the last 4 years have taught me so much about the sports industry. If I had to leave a piece of advice for the next generation of Sport Management students, it’s to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Push yourself outside your comfort zone and you’ll never know where it will lead you.”– Isaias Oviedo ’24 Guest Speakers in the Classroom • Bilal Salaam, Kutztown Assistant Basketball Coach • Cole Single, Hudson Valley Renegades, Corporate Partnerships Manager • Frankie Vernoski, Harrisburg Senators, Director of Ticket Sales • Taylor Thames, Harrisburg Senators, Account Executive • Zach Miller, Harrisburg Senators, Account Executive 10
