The competition saw the participation of 13 high school teams from five different states. The final four teams were judged by a panel of sport industry professionals, KU alum, and academics, who evaluated their presentations based on various criteria, including creativity, feasibility, and overall quality. The event received overwhelming support from the sport industry, with several organizations sponsoring the competition, including the Lancaster Barnstormers, Greco Promotions, and Living Sport.
