18COSMA reaffirmation With joy, the Department of Sport Management announces its achievement of a seven-year reaffirmation of accreditation from the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). Accreditation by COSMA is a stellar achievement and a statement of the program’s continuing commitment to quality and excellence in sport management education based on agreedupon accreditation standards. KU’s Sport Management program was the first in Eastern Pennsylvania to be granted accreditation by COSMA in 2015. New Hire! The Sport Management Department welcomed Mr. Brian Jones to the team. He taught SPT 222, Fundamentals of Coaching, for the Spring 2023 semester. He brings a wealth of experience with 40 years as a college football coach, primarily at the FBS level. 13 The Department of Sport Management would like to extend our appreciation to the students, alumni, administration, and support staff for all the support provided to help lead the process to success. Professor Hayduk retired from Kutztown University after teaching for 32 years, since 1991. She taught in FYS 100 and HEA 102, served at Freshmen Connections for the College of Business, and served as Acting Chair for the department. Best Wishes for her retirement.
