MSW Heather Sherry 2022 Agency Name: Lehigh Valley Youth House- THRIVE program Profile: THRIVE is a transitional housing program for female identifying adolescents ages 14-21 who have been exploited or sex trafficked. THRIVE provides their clients with Trauma focused Cognitive behavioral therapy, housing, meals, and other necessities while linking them to other resources such as peer mentors, drug and alcohol treatment, medical/dental care and employment training. The vision for this program is to help survivors with everyday life skills to help them with their healing process and prepare them for the transition onto their next step. Field Placement Responsibilities: My responsibilities include helping the clients with everyday tasks, modeling appropriate communication and emotional processing skills, and providing them with a safe healing space to work through their trauma.
