MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Joshua Haas 2021 Agency Name: Concern Professional Services Profile: Concern Professional Services provides foster care and adoption services in the eastern Pennsylvania area. The agency ’ s focus is to ensure that the children overseen by Concern are given the opportunity and resources that will positively affect their growth and development by providing a stable environment that will address their physical, emotional, and mental health needs. Field Placement Responsibilities: This semester I will be working as a case worker. I will take on the role of supporter for the children under my care, acting as an advocate and broker ensuring that the children receive proper resources and services while in the foster care system. I will build trusting relationships with my clients to reach objectives and goals that have been mutually agreed upon between myself, task supervisor, and the client. It will be my job to assess the child's needs and strengths while in foster care and assure that the foster family obtains available resources. Future Goals: My future goal is work at an agency like Concern that focuses on foster care and adoption. I believe that every child deserves a safe and stable environment. Department of Social Work
