MSW Jennifer McGlinchey 2021 Agency Name: Lenape Valley Foundation Profile: Lenape Valley Foundation is an agency with 60 years of experience fulfilling its mission of providing comprehensive, caring and trauma informed mental health services in Bucks County. Lenape Valley Foundation strives to serve the needs of the community by providing “ Compassionate Care by Caring People ”. Field Placement Responsibilities: For my field placement, I will be working in the Central Bucks Crisis department of Lenape Valley Foundation, conducting comprehensive assessments of Clients, which are utilized to determine the needed level of care for mental health services, typically inpatient at a behavioral health hospital or outpatient through a community service provider. Additionally, in this role I will gather the needed information to file 302 petitions, coordinating this process with the county, EMS, police, and ER staff. Future Goals: To create and maintain person centered residential programs for those with severe and persistent mental health challenges, fostering safe and supportive spaces where individuals have the autonomy to thrive.
