MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Hannah Berman 2021 Agency Name: Caron Treatment Centers Profile: Caron is an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility whose mission is to transform lives impacted by addiction through proven, evidence - based, comprehensive and personalized behavioral healthcare. Each patient is treated individually, depending on their needs. Caron ’ s core purpose is to ease the pain of individuals and families by restoring health, hope, spirituality and relationships. Field Placement Responsibilities: My field placement responsibilities shadow those of a substance abuse therapist. I will be working with patients on the Older Adult unit individually and in small groups, as well as with them and members of their family. Some of the many tasks that I will be completing regularly at my placement include psycho social evaluations, case consults, treatment plans, and recovery action plans. I will also be providing aftercare recommendations to patients, conducting topic lectures, and facilitating group therapy and family sessions. Additionally, I will be assisting members of the treatment team, including psychology and medical staff, to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. Future Goals: My long - term goal is to earn my LCSW and open up a private practice specializing in substance abuse and mental health, while offering neurofeedback therapy and pharmacogenomic testing.
