MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Natasha Rodriguez 2021 Agency Name: Reading High School Profile: Reading High School is part of Reading School District located in Berks County, PA. The Reading School District's vision is to help students make their hopes and dreams a reality. They strive to motivate continuous academic growth in all students. They nurture academic tenacity and resiliency. The safety, well - being, and success of their students is of upmost importance. Field Placement Responsibilities: As an intern I will have a variety of tasks and responsibilities. My responsibilities will include developing and facilitating groups with students. I will be training students to serve as mentors to younger students for the peer mentor program. I will help students cope with anxiety and problem solving. Also, I will help connect students and their families to community resources. I will work with my field instructor to help students increase school attendance. In order to help with the language barrier, I will assist in translating from students and parents. Future Goals: I hope to continue to advance in child welfare or school social work. My goal is to ensure the safety and well - being of children at the micro, mezzo, and macro level. Department of Social Work
