MSW Field Profiles 2021-22

MSW Ashley Blake 2021 Agency Name: Promise Neighborhood of the Lehigh Valley Profile: Promise Neighborhood is a non - profit organization that fosters cooperation among residents within the Greater Lehigh Valley to create safe, healthy, vibrant, inclusive neighborhoods, where children succeed in school and where adults and families thrive and want to live. Field Placement Responsibilities: At Promise Neighborhood my role will be the lead strategic planning consultant in cultivating a program that assists individuals and families who have experienced violence. I will also participate within the organization ’ s professional development workshops. These workshops consist of but not limited to, understanding the process of strategic planning, enhancing communication skills, and learning techniques on coping with health, trauma, and stress related issues. Future Goals: After completing my MSW, I will pursue my LCSW and ultimately my PHD. My goal is to work for a nonprofit agency as a social policy analyst with a focus in community empowerment, and education reform. Department of Social Work
